This is right. I have the problem. There will be a new interface made by Blaupunkt for the new generation of car audio systems. It will be avaiabel in two or three weeks.

Does anyone know who make the interface for sony? (Blaupunkt is very expencive in Norway). (and there is no dealers of VDO where I live)

Hi Thomas,

according to a former disscusion in this forum it should be possible to use the remote-controll on the steering wheel with radios made by Blaupunkt, Sony and VDO-Dayton.

Do anyone know if it is possible to excange the philips audio (radio/cass) with a better audiosystem without loosing the remote-controll on the steering wheel? (the original CD/radio is not of a good quality, and does not have CD/MP3 etc.)

I know that there are adapters made for several other cars to use with "joystick enabled" Sony CD players, do anyone know if such exist for my Kangoo.

I have a '98modell kangoo, and the cass-radio is labeled "Philips - Renault"
